At MEMOS, we like projects that make sense. So when representatives of the Food Bank approached us with a request for affordable development, we tried our best to support this initiative. Our analyst, in collaboration with the client, designed the skeleton of the entire project, which we then prototyped. Once it was approved, the actual coding of the web application in .Net and VUE.JS took place.
The application works as an internal system that can only be accessed by authorized users. These are divided according to their authorization into Dispensary Managers (i.e. specific food banks), who can set up individual dispensing points, and Social Workers, who manage the administration of people in need. Thus, the dispensing process has now been simplified to creating a dispensing site, assigning certain parameters to that site (for children, for the elderly, for people with food allergies, etc.) and then assigning people eligible for a food package. Before direct distribution begins, the system exports and issues a list containing all the necessary information for the dispensing staff.
